You all know Seunghun as an outstanding Ph.D. candidate from Virginia Tech University and an IFITT Secretary, who has been supporting communication within the community.

Seunghun Shin is about to finish his PhD journey in Howard Feiertag Department of Hospitality & Tourism Management at Virginia Tech University. His research area has been the impacts of information technology (IT) on tourist’s behaviour through social media analytics. The PhD thesis was supervised by Dr. Zheng Xiang.

Seunghun’s research has already been recognised with several awards from Virginia Tech University (Darden Restaurants Foundation Graduate Research Scholarship in 2020, Doctoral Summer Research Grant in 2020) and in ENTER e-Tourism conferences (Best Research Note Award 2nd Place in ENTER2020, PhD Proposal Award 2nd Place in ENTER2015). In a few months, Seunghung going to be an assistant professor in the School of Hotel and Tourism Management at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
